Cruise Package

The Cruise package includes stateroom accommodations, numerous dining options, standard complimentary services, activities and entertainment.Unless otherwise noted on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation and/or included as part of a special promotional rate or a specific cruise line’s all-inclusive package, the cruise package does not include non-complimentary or alcoholic beverages, shore excursions, personal or gift-shop purchases, casino wagering, alternative dining at specialty restaurants, some on-board activities, some “private island” accommodations, restaurants and dining options, internet or outside telephone service, photographs, special services (such as baby-sitting, spa or salon treatments, etc.), laundry, dry cleaning, some medical services, travel insurance or gratuities.Airfare and/or ground transportation is not included unless specified on my Cruise Reservation Confirmation
NOTE: If Travel Insurance is bought as a separate third-party purchase, it will not be included on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation. 

Cruise Line Policies
 
I have read and understand the cruise line’s policies and procedures regarding the cancellation of a cruise and subsequent cancellation penalties imposed by the cruise line, the issuance of refunds and / or future cruise certificates or credits made by the cruise line, cruise line discounted non-refundable deposit rates, rate adjustments, itinerary modifications and changes, category guarantees, gratuities, air arrangements and transfers, age requirements and restrictions, health and physical condition restrictions (including pregnancy restrictions), security of valuables, packing medications, use of credit cards, rules and restrictions related to required travel documents, boarding and sailing times, baggage, custom inspections and all other important matters.Direct Line Cruises is a separate entity and takes no role whatsoever in the design or creation, modification or administration of cruise line policies and procedures.Cruise line policies and procedures are explained in the “Terms and Conditions” or “miscellaneous additional/other information” section of each cruise line’s website and Direct Line Cruises has instructed me to read it.
 
Proof of Citizenship and Required Identification Documents
 
I understand that proper government-issued proof of identity and citizenship is required for all cruise passengers.Because government regulated documentation requirements vary by the citizenship and residence of each passenger (as well as the specific ports that your cruise visits), it is the sole responsibility of the guest to determine what documentation is required and to acquire and provide that documentation as proof of identity.Appropriate valid travel documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries.Documentation requirements are complex and may be subject to change at any time.
   
A valid passport is highly recommended for U.S. citizens (and, for many cruises, it is required).A valid passport is one that does not expire for at least 6 months beyond the passenger’s return date of trip.For air travel, additional documents may be required (regardless of citizenship).The name on your cruise line reservation and boarding pass or airline boarding pass must match the name on your passport or other government-issued identification documents.
 
Non-U.S. citizens who are lawful permanent U.S. residents will need a valid original copy of their Alien Registration Card (“Green card”) to enter / re-enter the United States and will also need any other documentation the countries on the specific itinerary require due to alien status.
 
For certain countries and/or itineraries, Special and Specific visas may also be required.All non-U.S. citizens (regardless of residency) need to check with their local immigration office to determine what is the appropriate documentation required for this trip.
 
U.S. Citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port – unless the itinerary includes Cuba) do not need a passport and will be able to enter or depart the U.S. with proof of citizenship in the form of a government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) denoting photo, name and date of birth.Also required is an original government-issued birth certificate or an original U.S. Naturalization certificate or an original U.S. Certificate of Citizenship.Requirements for children under the age of 16 are not the same (refer to the applicable cruise line’s website).Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens who take a closed-loop cruise, Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the use of a passport for all travels - should guests need to fly back into the U.S. from another country because of medical, family, business or personal emergencies before the completion of the cruise or any other unforeseen reason.
 
The name on your reservation / boarding pass must be exactly as stated on your passport or other government-issued official proof of identity.If your name has changed since issuance of your document (e.g. marriage/divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate).
 
ANY PASSENGER WHO DOES NOT HAVE PROPER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE DENIED BOARDING BY THE CRUISE LINE AND WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND
 
Although Direct Line Cruises provides some information on their website (www.directlinecruises.com), we highly recommend that you obtain this extremely important and detailed information regarding required travel documentation on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure and at www.travel.state.gov. and that all non-U.S. citizens consult with their local immigration office.Direct Line Cruises recommends that U.S. and non-U.S. citizens give themselves ample time to secure or renew a passport or any other required travel documentation.
 
Registration and Boarding
 
Each cruise line’s boarding regulations and procedures will differ.Refer to the applicable cruise line’s website for instructions regarding general check-in time at pier and boarding /sailing time.Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that the cruise line’s guest registration be done online and completed within 45 days of your sailing date at the applicable cruise line website, at which time your boarding pass and luggage tags will be issued.Your boarding pass will inform you as to what your actual check-in / boarding time window is along with some very important travel details. Direct Line Cruises recommends that you hand carry your passport, boarding pass, valuables and medications in a carry-on bag.
 
Non-Refundable Deposit
 
In most instances a deposit made towards a cruise is refundable up until final payment is made.However, if you chose to book your cruise under a discounted “Non-Refundable” rate code, the initial deposit made for the cruise would be non-refundable if you needed to cancel your cruise.Some cruise lines will extend a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of the deposit.However, a cancellation fee will be imposed.
 
Cruise Line Penalty Fee for Cancellation or Modification
 
Cancellations or modifications to a booking after the cruise line’s final payment date (balance-due date) are subject to a cruise line cancellation penalty fee.The closer the cancellation is made to the cruise departure date, the higher the penalty fee.Cruise cancellation shortly before cruise departure will result in full forfeiture of cruise fare.Some cruise lines impose a cancellation/change penalty fee if the cruise is cancelled before the final payment.The applicable cancellation fee schedule is included at www.directlinecruises.com and on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure as well.Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to cruise cancellation penalty fees imposed by the cruise line.(See Travel Insurance below).
 
Post-departure Occurrences
 
Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to post-departure occurrences such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses due to illness, injury or accidents, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage. (See Travel Insurance below). 
 
Travel Insurance
 
Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance through Travel Insured International.Travel insurance can protect me against financial loss if I (or a family member / traveling companion) can not begin or complete the cruise due to sudden illness, injury, death or other covered reason that would otherwise result in my full or partial forfeiture of payments made to the cruise line.Travel insurance can also protect me against financial loss due to unforeseen post-departure occurrences (such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage). Travel Insurance also provides world wide assistance throughout the trip.Log into Direct Line Cruises website for answers and information about travel Insurance or go directly to the Travel Insured International website, which is www.travelinsured.com. The phone number for Travel Insured International is 1-866-684-0218.  Direct Line Cruises Travel Insured Agency I.D. number is #53578.  Travel Insured is a third party company that Direct Line Cruises recommends.  However, Direct Line Cruises is a travel agency and not an insurance company, and therefore does not get involved in the sale of the insurance or submission of claims nor does it have any involvement in determining the validity of a claim or in the administration of a claim.
 
Rate Adjustments
 
Once a cabin is deposited, the rate is “locked in”, even when the cruise line subsequently increases its rates for that same cruise.If the cruise line reduces its rates for the same cruise or subsequently offers a “Non-Restricted” or “Restricted” (see below) promotional rate for the same cruise PRIOR to the date on which the guest is required to make his/her final payment (balance due date - generally 60 to 120 days prior to the cruise departure date – depending on cruise line and length of cruise), the cruise line may permit the travel agency to reduce the cruise fare to the prevailing rate or promotional rate, and Direct Line Cruises will initiate the rate reduction at the request of our client.However, adjusting a rate to a reduced fare is likely to result in relinquishing any and all existing promotional amenities attached to the guest’s original rate code, which can ultimately result in a decrease in the overall value of the booking.In the event that the cruise line reduces its rate after final payment (balance due date), the cruise line MAY offer a stateroom upgrade (subject to availability).Such upgrades are solely at the discretion of the applicable cruise line, and therefore, cannot be guaranteed by Direct Line Cruises.
 
Promotional Rates
 
Cruise lines often promote specific sailings by offering very attractive rates or offer amenities that add value to the booking (such as onboard credits, dining or beverage packages or pre-paid gratuities, etc.).These promotional rates are customarily available to consumers with no restrictions.However, most promotional rates are short-term and are offered within a limited time span.Some promotional rates are called “Restricted” rates and are limited only to guests who are over a certain age (“Senior rates”) or who reside in certain states (“Resident rates”) or who belong to certain organizations (such as the Military, Veterans, Police, Fire).Restricted rates can only be offered in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the cruise line’s promotion.Any passenger who receives but does not legitimately qualify for a restricted rate will be subject to paying a step-up fare at the pier or may be denied boarding.
 
Category Guarantee
 
If you booked a “Category Guarantee”, it means that you will at least get the category you paid for (nothing lower), and there is a slight possibility that you may get an upgrade to a higher category (at no additional cost).It does not mean that you are guaranteed an upgrade. If there are vacant staterooms in the category you reserved and paid for, then this is the category you will be in at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If, however, there are no vacant staterooms in the category you paid for, then the cruise line may upgrade you to the next category where there is availability of staterooms.The cruise line can assign your stateroom anywhere between the time your reservation is made up until the day you board.There is no way of knowing in advance if you will be upgraded.By booking a “Category Guarantee”, you will not know in advance the deck or the location of your stateroom (forward, mid-ship or aft).You may not get the type of bedding you prefer.You may or may not be near stairs or an elevator.You may be on a deck below a noisy public area.If you booked an “ocean view stateroom guarantee”, you may get a stateroom with a porthole or obstructed view.If you booked a “balcony guarantee”, you may not get a stateroom overlooking the ocean, but instead get a stateroom overlooking an atrium, the boardwalk or central park. The cruise line will not take requests of any kind nor will they give us advance notification of the location of your stateroom.Your stateroom assignment will be completely dependent on availability at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If the type of bedding or location on the ship is very important to you or if you wish to be near family or traveling companions, then we would highly recommend that you book a specific stateroom assignment and not a “Category Guarantee”.Direct Line Cruises is not responsible nor will the cruise line allow us to change the stateroom assignment made by the cruise line for a “Category Guarantee” booking.
 
Pregnancy Restrictions
 
The cruise lines will not allow boarding by passengers who will have entered their 24^th week of pregnancy by the beginning of (or at any time during) the cruise or cruise tour.In addition, any cruise passenger who is pregnant must provide a physician’s “Fit to Travel” note to the cruise line prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) the pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that the guest is in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.Any passenger who is in violation of this pregnancy policy will be denied boarding and no refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line.For details, check the applicable cruise line’s website.
 
Traveling with Minors 
 
If a minor child’s last name is different from the parent(s) they are traveling with, the parent(s) are required to present the child’s appropriate and required legal travel documents. The name of the parent(s) and child must be linked through legal documentation.Minors and accompanying guests will be denied boarding if the required legal travel documentation has not been submitted and presented.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.Each cruise line’s age determination of a minor will vary.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy requirements regarding minors.
 
If you are traveling with a minor who is not your child, a notarized letter or pre-printed parent/guardian consent release form must be sent to the cruise line giving permission for the child to travel without the parent.This letter or consent form should also be available to present at the pier prior to departure.A consent form is also required for children of divorced or separated parents.Minors and accompanying guests will be denied boarding if the required letter or consent form has not been submitted and presented.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.Each cruise line’s age determination of a minor will vary.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy requirements regarding minors.
 
Infant Age Restrictions
 
Each cruise line has its own policy regarding the minimum age requirement for an infant to travel onboard their ships.Any cruise tours associated with the cruise are also subject to the minimum age requirement policy.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy regarding age requirement of infants.Denial of boarding for infants who do not satisfy the applicable cruise line’s minimum age requirements will also result in the denial of boarding for accompanying guests.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.
 
Agency Relationship
 

I understand that Direct Line Cruises, Inc. acts as a cruise consultant and booking agent and, in that capacity, serves only to provide assistance in making reservations through the applicable cruise line.As such, Direct Line Cruises is not responsible or liable for any unforeseen travel inconvenience, delay, loss or damage of property, financial loss, injury, accident or illness to me or to any of the individuals for whom I have made this reservation.Direct Line Cruises is not responsible for any policies, acts or omissions made by the applicable cruise line.Direct Line Cruises is not in any wayliable for losses due to itinerary deviations or sailing schedule changes made by the applicable cruise line.Any claims for restitution of losses or damages shall be sought from the cruise line, travel insurance company or any other responsible party, and not from Direct Line Cruises, Inc., whose sole function is to facilitate travel reservations requested by its clients.
 
Direct Line Cruises, Inc. is not liable for any financial losses incurred due to a subsequent contract or agreement made between a client of Direct Line Cruises and a 3^rd party organization.
 
Direct Line Cruises is not responsible or liable for financial loss due to events beyond our control such as strikes, storms or weather related disasters, epidemics or terrorism.
 
Any advice or recommendation made by a Direct Line Cruises Travel Agent relating to the selection of the applicable cruise ship or cruise line is consistently made in the guest’s best interest.It is based on a comprehensive qualification of the guest by the Direct Line Cruises travel agent during the initial inquiry and quoting process of the cruise.Direct Line Cruises has no knowledge of the applicable cruise line’s financial condition and is not responsible or liable for any inconvenience or financial loss should the applicable cruise line subsequently become insolvent.
 
Although Direct Line Cruises has provided me with a great deal of information regarding my upcoming cruise, I have been advised by Direct Line Cruises that each of the individual Cruise line’s “Terms and Conditions” may be different and will include specific policies, regulations, restrictions and procedures.   Direct Line Cruises has instructed me to read the “Terms and Conditions” and the   Miscellaneous Additional/Other Information section of the applicable cruise line’s website and/or brochure (otherwise known as the “fine print”) for a detailed explanation of its policies, regulations, restrictions and procedures as well as answers to important questions regarding my upcoming cruise.

NOTE: If Travel Insurance is bought as a separate third-party purchase, it will not be included on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation. 

Cruise Line Policies
 
I have read and understand the cruise line’s policies and procedures regarding the cancellation of a cruise and subsequent cancellation penalties imposed by the cruise line, the issuance of refunds and / or future cruise certificates or credits made by the cruise line, cruise line discounted non-refundable deposit rates, rate adjustments, itinerary modifications and changes, category guarantees, gratuities, air arrangements and transfers, age requirements and restrictions, health and physical condition restrictions (including pregnancy restrictions), security of valuables, packing medications, use of credit cards, rules and restrictions related to required travel documents, boarding and sailing times, baggage, custom inspections and all other important matters.Direct Line Cruises is a separate entity and takes no role whatsoever in the design or creation, modification or administration of cruise line policies and procedures.Cruise line policies and procedures are explained in the “Terms and Conditions” or “miscellaneous additional/other information” section of each cruise line’s website and Direct Line Cruises has instructed me to read it.
 
Proof of Citizenship and Required Identification Documents
 
I understand that proper government-issued proof of identity and citizenship is required for all cruise passengers.Because government regulated documentation requirements vary by the citizenship and residence of each passenger (as well as the specific ports that your cruise visits), it is the sole responsibility of the guest to determine what documentation is required and to acquire and provide that documentation as proof of identity.Appropriate valid travel documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries.Documentation requirements are complex and may be subject to change at any time.
   
A valid passport is highly recommended for U.S. citizens (and, for many cruises, it is required).A valid passport is one that does not expire for at least 6 months beyond the passenger’s return date of trip.For air travel, additional documents may be required (regardless of citizenship).The name on your cruise line reservation and boarding pass or airline boarding pass must match the name on your passport or other government-issued identification documents.
 
Non-U.S. citizens who are lawful permanent U.S. residents will need a valid original copy of their Alien Registration Card (“Green card”) to enter / re-enter the United States and will also need any other documentation the countries on the specific itinerary require due to alien status.
 
For certain countries and/or itineraries, Special and Specific visas may also be required.All non-U.S. citizens (regardless of residency) need to check with their local immigration office to determine what is the appropriate documentation required for this trip.
 
U.S. Citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port – unless the itinerary includes Cuba) do not need a passport and will be able to enter or depart the U.S. with proof of citizenship in the form of a government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) denoting photo, name and date of birth.Also required is an original government-issued birth certificate or an original U.S. Naturalization certificate or an original U.S. Certificate of Citizenship.Requirements for children under the age of 16 are not the same (refer to the applicable cruise line’s website).Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens who take a closed-loop cruise, Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the use of a passport for all travels - should guests need to fly back into the U.S. from another country because of medical, family, business or personal emergencies before the completion of the cruise or any other unforeseen reason.
 
The name on your reservation / boarding pass must be exactly as stated on your passport or other government-issued official proof of identity.If your name has changed since issuance of your document (e.g. marriage/divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate).
 
ANY PASSENGER WHO DOES NOT HAVE PROPER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE DENIED BOARDING BY THE CRUISE LINE AND WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND
 
Although Direct Line Cruises provides some information on their website (www.directlinecruises.com), we highly recommend that you obtain this extremely important and detailed information regarding required travel documentation on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure and at www.travel.state.gov. and that all non-U.S. citizens consult with their local immigration office.Direct Line Cruises recommends that U.S. and non-U.S. citizens give themselves ample time to secure or renew a passport or any other required travel documentation.
 
Registration and Boarding
 
Each cruise line’s boarding regulations and procedures will differ.Refer to the applicable cruise line’s website for instructions regarding general check-in time at pier and boarding /sailing time.Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that the cruise line’s guest registration be done online and completed within 45 days of your sailing date at the applicable cruise line website, at which time your boarding pass and luggage tags will be issued.Your boarding pass will inform you as to what your actual check-in / boarding time window is along with some very important travel details. Direct Line Cruises recommends that you hand carry your passport, boarding pass, valuables and medications in a carry-on bag.
 
Non-Refundable Deposit
 
In most instances a deposit made towards a cruise is refundable up until final payment is made.However, if you chose to book your cruise under a discounted “Non-Refundable” rate code, the initial deposit made for the cruise would be non-refundable if you needed to cancel your cruise.Some cruise lines will extend a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of the deposit.However, a cancellation fee will be imposed.
 
Cruise Line Penalty Fee for Cancellation or Modification
 
Cancellations or modifications to a booking after the cruise line’s final payment date (balance-due date) are subject to a cruise line cancellation penalty fee.The closer the cancellation is made to the cruise departure date, the higher the penalty fee.Cruise cancellation shortly before cruise departure will result in full forfeiture of cruise fare.Some cruise lines impose a cancellation/change penalty fee if the cruise is cancelled before the final payment.The applicable cancellation fee schedule is included at www.directlinecruises.com and on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure as well.Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to cruise cancellation penalty fees imposed by the cruise line.(See Travel Insurance below).
 
Post-departure Occurrences
 
Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to post-departure occurrences such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses due to illness, injury or accidents, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage. (See Travel Insurance below). 
 
Travel Insurance
 
Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance through Travel Insured International.Travel insurance can protect me against financial loss if I (or a family member / traveling companion) can not begin or complete the cruise due to sudden illness, injury, death or other covered reason that would otherwise result in my full or partial forfeiture of payments made to the cruise line.Travel insurance can also protect me against financial loss due to unforeseen post-departure occurrences (such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage). Travel Insurance also provides world wide assistance throughout the trip.Log into Direct Line Cruises website for answers and information about travel Insurance or go directly to the Travel Insured International website, which is www.travelinsured.com. The phone number for Travel Insured International is 1-866-684-0218.  Direct Line Cruises Travel Insured Agency I.D. number is #53578.  Travel Insured is a third party company that Direct Line Cruises recommends.  However, Direct Line Cruises is a travel agency and not an insurance company, and therefore does not get involved in the sale of the insurance or submission of claims nor does it have any involvement in determining the validity of a claim or in the administration of a claim.
 
Rate Adjustments
 
Once a cabin is deposited, the rate is “locked in”, even when the cruise line subsequently increases its rates for that same cruise.If the cruise line reduces its rates for the same cruise or subsequently offers a “Non-Restricted” or “Restricted” (see below) promotional rate for the same cruise PRIOR to the date on which the guest is required to make his/her final payment (balance due date - generally 60 to 120 days prior to the cruise departure date – depending on cruise line and length of cruise), the cruise line may permit the travel agency to reduce the cruise fare to the prevailing rate or promotional rate, and Direct Line Cruises will initiate the rate reduction at the request of our client.However, adjusting a rate to a reduced fare is likely to result in relinquishing any and all existing promotional amenities attached to the guest’s original rate code, which can ultimately result in a decrease in the overall value of the booking.In the event that the cruise line reduces its rate after final payment (balance due date), the cruise line MAY offer a stateroom upgrade (subject to availability).Such upgrades are solely at the discretion of the applicable cruise line, and therefore, cannot be guaranteed by Direct Line Cruises.
 
Promotional Rates
 
Cruise lines often promote specific sailings by offering very attractive rates or offer amenities that add value to the booking (such as onboard credits, dining or beverage packages or pre-paid gratuities, etc.).These promotional rates are customarily available to consumers with no restrictions.However, most promotional rates are short-term and are offered within a limited time span.Some promotional rates are called “Restricted” rates and are limited only to guests who are over a certain age (“Senior rates”) or who reside in certain states (“Resident rates”) or who belong to certain organizations (such as the Military, Veterans, Police, Fire).Restricted rates can only be offered in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the cruise line’s promotion.Any passenger who receives but does not legitimately qualify for a restricted rate will be subject to paying a step-up fare at the pier or may be denied boarding.

Registration and Boarding
 
Each cruise line’s boarding regulations and procedures will differ.Refer to the applicable cruise line’s website for instructions regarding general check-in time at pier and boarding /sailing time.Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that the cruise line’s guest registration be done online and completed within 45 days of your sailing date at the applicable cruise line website, at which time your boarding pass and luggage tags will be issued.Your boarding pass will inform you as to what your actual check-in / boarding time window is along with some very important travel details. Direct Line Cruises recommends that you hand carry your passport, boarding pass, valuables and medications in a carry-on bag.
 
Non-Refundable Deposit
 
In most instances a deposit made towards a cruise is refundable up until final payment is made.However, if you chose to book your cruise under a discounted “Non-Refundable” rate code, the initial deposit made for the cruise would be non-refundable if you needed to cancel your cruise.Some cruise lines will extend a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of the deposit.However, a cancellation fee will be imposed.
 
Cruise Line Penalty Fee for Cancellation or Modification

Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to post-departure occurrences such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses due to illness, injury or accidents, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage. Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance through Travel Insured International.Travel insurance can protect me against financial loss if I (or a family member / traveling companion) can not begin or complete the cruise due to sudden illness, injury, death or other covered reason that would otherwise result in my full or partial forfeiture of payments made to the cruise line.Travel insurance can also protect me against financial loss due to unforeseen post-departure occurrences (such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage). Travel Insurance also provides world wide assistance throughout the trip.Log into Direct Line Cruises website for answers and information about travel Insurance or go directly to the Travel Insured International website, which is www.travelinsured.com. The phone number for Travel Insured International is 1-866-684-0218.  Direct Line Cruises Travel Insured Agency I.D. number is #53578.  Travel Insured is a third party company that Direct Line Cruises recommends.  However, Direct Line Cruises is a travel agency and not an insurance company, and therefore does not get involved in the sale of the insurance or submission of claims nor does it have any involvement in determining the validity of a claim or in the administration of a claim.
 
Rate Adjustments
 
Once a cabin is deposited, the rate is “locked in”, even when the cruise line subsequently increases its rates for that same cruise.If the cruise line reduces its rates for the same cruise or subsequently offers a “Non-Restricted” or “Restricted” (see below) promotional rate for the same cruise PRIOR to the date on which the guest is required to make his/her final payment (balance due date - generally 60 to 120 days prior to the cruise departure date – depending on cruise line and length of cruise), the cruise line may permit the travel agency to reduce the cruise fare to the prevailing rate or promotional rate, and Direct Line Cruises will initiate the rate reduction at the request of our client.However, adjusting a rate to a reduced fare is likely to result in relinquishing any and all existing promotional amenities attached to the guest’s original rate code, which can ultimately result in a decrease in the overall value of the booking.In the event that the cruise line reduces its rate after final payment (balance due date), the cruise line MAY offer a stateroom upgrade (subject to availability).Such upgrades are solely at the discretion of the applicable cruise line, and therefore, cannot be guaranteed by Direct Line Cruises.
 
Promotional Rates
 
Cruise lines often promote specific sailings by offering very attractive rates or offer amenities that add value to the booking (such as onboard credits, dining or beverage packages or pre-paid gratuities, etc.).These promotional rates are customarily available to consumers with no restrictions.However, most promotional rates are short-term and are offered within a limited time span.Some promotional rates are called “Restricted” rates and are limited only to guests who are over a certain age (“Senior rates”) or who reside in certain states (“Resident rates”) or who belong to certain organizations (such as the Military, Veterans, Police, Fire).Restricted rates can only be offered in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the cruise line’s promotion.Any passenger who receives but does not legitimately qualify for a restricted rate will be subject to paying a step-up fare at the pier or may be denied boarding.
 
Category Guarantee
 
If you booked a “Category Guarantee”, it means that you will at least get the category you paid for (nothing lower), and there is a slight possibility that you may get an upgrade to a higher category (at no additional cost).It does not mean that you are guaranteed an upgrade. If there are vacant staterooms in the category you reserved and paid for, then this is the category you will be in at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If, however, there are no vacant staterooms in the category you paid for, then the cruise line may upgrade you to the next category where there is availability of staterooms.The cruise line can assign your stateroom anywhere between the time your reservation is made up until the day you board.There is no way of knowing in advance if you will be upgraded.By booking a “Category Guarantee”, you will not know in advance the deck or the location of your stateroom (forward, mid-ship or aft).You may not get the type of bedding you prefer.You may or may not be near stairs or an elevator.You may be on a deck below a noisy public area.If you booked an “ocean view stateroom guarantee”, you may get a stateroom with a porthole or obstructed view.If you booked a “balcony guarantee”, you may not get a stateroom overlooking the ocean, but instead get a stateroom overlooking an atrium, the boardwalk or central park. The cruise lines will not allow boarding by passengers who will have entered their 24^th week of pregnancy by the beginning of (or at any time during) the cruise or cruise tour.In addition, any cruise passenger who is pregnant must provide a physician’s “Fit to Travel” note to the cruise line prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) the pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that the guest is in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.Any passenger who is in violation of this pregnancy policy will be denied boarding and no refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line.For details, check the applicable cruise line’s website.
 
Traveling with Minors 
 
If a minor child’s last name is different from the parent(s) they are traveling with, the parent(s) are required to present the child’s appropriate and required legal travel documents. The Cruise package includes stateroom accommodations, numerous dining options, standard complimentary services, activities and entertainment.Unless otherwise noted on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation and/or included as part of a special promotional rate or a specific cruise line’s all-inclusive package, the cruise package does not include non-complimentary or alcoholic beverages, shore excursions, personal or gift-shop purchases, casino wagering, alternative dining at specialty restaurants, some on-board activities, some “private island” accommodations, restaurants and dining options, internet or outside telephone service, photographs, special services (such as baby-sitting, spa or salon treatments, etc.), laundry, dry cleaning, some medical services, travel insurance or gratuities.Airfare and/or ground transportation is not included unless specified on my Cruise Reservation Confirmation
NOTE: If Travel Insurance is bought as a separate third-party purchase, it will not be included on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation. 

Cruise Line Policies
 
I have read and understand the cruise line’s policies and procedures regarding the cancellation of a cruise and subsequent cancellation penalties imposed by the cruise line, the issuance of refunds and / or future cruise certificates or credits made by the cruise line, cruise line discounted non-refundable deposit rates, rate adjustments, itinerary modifications and changes, category guarantees, gratuities, air arrangements and transfers, age requirements and restrictions, health and physical condition restrictions (including pregnancy restrictions), security of valuables, packing medications, use of credit cards, rules and restrictions related to required travel documents, boarding and sailing times, baggage, custom inspections and all other important matters.Direct Line Cruises is a separate entity and takes no role whatsoever in the design or creation, modification or administration of cruise line policies and procedures.Cruise line policies and procedures are explained in the “Terms and Conditions” or “miscellaneous additional/other information” section of each cruise line’s website and Direct Line Cruises has instructed me to read it.
 
Proof of Citizenship and Required Identification Documents
 
I understand that proper government-issued proof of identity and citizenship is required for all cruise passengers.Because government regulated documentation requirements vary by the citizenship and residence of each passenger (as well as the specific ports that your cruise visits), it is the sole responsibility of the guest to determine what documentation is required and to acquire and provide that documentation as proof of identity.Appropriate valid travel documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries.Documentation requirements are complex and may be subject to change at any time.
   
A valid passport is highly recommended for U.S. citizens (and, for many cruises, it is required).A valid passport is one that does not expire for at least 6 months beyond the passenger’s return date of trip.For air travel, additional documents may be required (regardless of citizenship).The name on your cruise line reservation and boarding pass or airline boarding pass must match the name on your passport or other government-issued identification documents.
 
Non-U.S. citizens who are lawful permanent U.S. residents will need a valid original copy of their Alien Registration Card (“Green card”) to enter / re-enter the United States and will also need any other documentation the countries on the specific itinerary require due to alien status.
 
For certain countries and/or itineraries, Special and Specific visas may also be required.All non-U.S. citizens (regardless of residency) need to check with their local immigration office to determine what is the appropriate documentation required for this trip.
 
U.S. Citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port – unless the itinerary includes Cuba) do not need a passport and will be able to enter or depart the U.S. with proof of citizenship in the form of a government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) denoting photo, name and date of birth.Also required is an original government-issued birth certificate or an original U.S. Naturalization certificate or an original U.S. Certificate of Citizenship.Requirements for children under the age of 16 are not the same (refer to the applicable cruise line’s website).Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens who take a closed-loop cruise, Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the use of a passport for all travels - should guests need to fly back into the U.S. from another country because of medical, family, business or personal emergencies before the completion of the cruise or any other unforeseen reason.

Cruise Package

The Cruise package includes stateroom accommodations, numerous dining options, standard complimentary services, activities and entertainment.Unless otherwise noted on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation and/or included as part of a special promotional rate or a specific cruise line’s all-inclusive package, the cruise package does not include non-complimentary or alcoholic beverages, shore excursions, personal or gift-shop purchases, casino wagering, alternative dining at specialty restaurants, some on-board activities, some “private island” accommodations, restaurants and dining options, internet or outside telephone service, photographs, special services (such as baby-sitting, spa or salon treatments, etc.), laundry, dry cleaning, some medical services, travel insurance or gratuities.Airfare and/or ground transportation is not included unless specified on my Cruise Reservation Confirmation
NOTE: If Travel Insurance is bought as a separate third-party purchase, it will not be included on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation. 

Cruise Line Policies
 
I have read and understand the cruise line’s policies and procedures regarding the cancellation of a cruise and subsequent cancellation penalties imposed by the cruise line, the issuance of refunds and / or future cruise certificates or credits made by the cruise line, cruise line discounted non-refundable deposit rates, rate adjustments, itinerary modifications and changes, category guarantees, gratuities, air arrangements and transfers, age requirements and restrictions, health and physical condition restrictions (including pregnancy restrictions), security of valuables, packing medications, use of credit cards, rules and restrictions related to required travel documents, boarding and sailing times, baggage, custom inspections and all other important matters.Direct Line Cruises is a separate entity and takes no role whatsoever in the design or creation, modification or administration of cruise line policies and procedures.Cruise line policies and procedures are explained in the “Terms and Conditions” or “miscellaneous additional/other information” section of each cruise line’s website and Direct Line Cruises has instructed me to read it.
 
Proof of Citizenship and Required Identification Documents
 
I understand that proper government-issued proof of identity and citizenship is required for all cruise passengers.Because government regulated documentation requirements vary by the citizenship and residence of each passenger (as well as the specific ports that your cruise visits), it is the sole responsibility of the guest to determine what documentation is required and to acquire and provide that documentation as proof of identity.Appropriate valid travel documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries.Documentation requirements are complex and may be subject to change at any time.
   
A valid passport is highly recommended for U.S. citizens (and, for many cruises, it is required).A valid passport is one that does not expire for at least 6 months beyond the passenger’s return date of trip.For air travel, additional documents may be required (regardless of citizenship).The name on your cruise line reservation and boarding pass or airline boarding pass must match the name on your passport or other government-issued identification documents.
 
Non-U.S. citizens who are lawful permanent U.S. residents will need a valid original copy of their Alien Registration Card (“Green card”) to enter / re-enter the United States and will also need any other documentation the countries on the specific itinerary require due to alien status.
 
For certain countries and/or itineraries, Special and Specific visas may also be required.All non-U.S. citizens (regardless of residency) need to check with their local immigration office to determine what is the appropriate documentation required for this trip.
 
U.S. Citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port – unless the itinerary includes Cuba) do not need a passport and will be able to enter or depart the U.S. with proof of citizenship in the form of a government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) denoting photo, name and date of birth.Also required is an original government-issued birth certificate or an original U.S. Naturalization certificate or an original U.S. Certificate of Citizenship.Requirements for children under the age of 16 are not the same (refer to the applicable cruise line’s website).Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens who take a closed-loop cruise, Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the use of a passport for all travels - should guests need to fly back into the U.S. from another country because of medical, family, business or personal emergencies before the completion of the cruise or any other unforeseen reason.
 
The name on your reservation / boarding pass must be exactly as stated on your passport or other government-issued official proof of identity.If your name has changed since issuance of your document (e.g. marriage/divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate).
 
ANY PASSENGER WHO DOES NOT HAVE PROPER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE DENIED BOARDING BY THE CRUISE LINE AND WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND
 
Although Direct Line Cruises provides some information on their website (www.directlinecruises.com), we highly recommend that you obtain this extremely important and detailed information regarding required travel documentation on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure and at www.travel.state.gov. and that all non-U.S. citizens consult with their local immigration office.Direct Line Cruises recommends that U.S. and non-U.S. citizens give themselves ample time to secure or renew a passport or any other required travel documentation.
 
Registration and Boarding
 
Each cruise line’s boarding regulations and procedures will differ.Refer to the applicable cruise line’s website for instructions regarding general check-in time at pier and boarding /sailing time.Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that the cruise line’s guest registration be done online and completed within 45 days of your sailing date at the applicable cruise line website, at which time your boarding pass and luggage tags will be issued.Your boarding pass will inform you as to what your actual check-in / boarding time window is along with some very important travel details. Direct Line Cruises recommends that you hand carry your passport, boarding pass, valuables and medications in a carry-on bag.
 
Non-Refundable Deposit
 
In most instances a deposit made towards a cruise is refundable up until final payment is made.However, if you chose to book your cruise under a discounted “Non-Refundable” rate code, the initial deposit made for the cruise would be non-refundable if you needed to cancel your cruise.Some cruise lines will extend a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of the deposit.However, a cancellation fee will be imposed.
 
Cruise Line Penalty Fee for Cancellation or Modification
 
Cancellations or modifications to a booking after the cruise line’s final payment date (balance-due date) are subject to a cruise line cancellation penalty fee.The closer the cancellation is made to the cruise departure date, the higher the penalty fee.Cruise cancellation shortly before cruise departure will result in full forfeiture of cruise fare.Some cruise lines impose a cancellation/change penalty fee if the cruise is cancelled before the final payment.The applicable cancellation fee schedule is included at www.directlinecruises.com and on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure as well.Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to cruise cancellation penalty fees imposed by the cruise line.(See Travel Insurance below).
 
Post-departure Occurrences
 
Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to post-departure occurrences such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses due to illness, injury or accidents, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage. (See Travel Insurance below).

Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance through Travel Insured International.Travel insurance can protect me against financial loss if I (or a family member / traveling companion) can not begin or complete the cruise due to sudden illness, injury, death or other covered reason that would otherwise result in my full or partial forfeiture of payments made to the cruise line.Travel insurance can also protect me against financial loss due to unforeseen post-departure occurrences (such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage). Travel Insurance also provides world wide assistance throughout the trip.Log into Direct Line Cruises website for answers and information about travel Insurance or go directly to the Travel Insured International website, which is www.travelinsured.com. The phone number for Travel Insured International is 1-866-684-0218.  Direct Line Cruises Travel Insured Agency I.D. number is #53578.  Travel Insured is a third party company that Direct Line Cruises recommends.  However, Direct Line Cruises is a travel agency and not an insurance company, and therefore does not get involved in the sale of the insurance or submission of claims nor does it have any involvement in determining the validity of a claim or in the administration of a claim.
 
Rate Adjustments
 
Once a cabin is deposited, the rate is “locked in”, even when the cruise line subsequently increases its rates for that same cruise.If the cruise line reduces its rates for the same cruise or subsequently offers a “Non-Restricted” or “Restricted” (see below) promotional rate for the same cruise PRIOR to the date on which the guest is required to make his/her final payment (balance due date - generally 60 to 120 days prior to the cruise departure date – depending on cruise line and length of cruise), the cruise line may permit the travel agency to reduce the cruise fare to the prevailing rate or promotional rate, and Direct Line Cruises will initiate the rate reduction at the request of our client.However, adjusting a rate to a reduced fare is likely to result in relinquishing any and all existing promotional amenities attached to the guest’s original rate code, which can ultimately result in a decrease in the overall value of the booking.In the event that the cruise line reduces its rate after final payment (balance due date), the cruise line MAY offer a stateroom upgrade (subject to availability).Such upgrades are solely at the discretion of the applicable cruise line, and therefore, cannot be guaranteed by Direct Line Cruises.
 
Promotional Rates
 
Cruise lines often promote specific sailings by offering very attractive rates or offer amenities that add value to the booking (such as onboard credits, dining or beverage packages or pre-paid gratuities, etc.).These promotional rates are customarily available to consumers with no restrictions.However, most promotional rates are short-term and are offered within a limited time span.Some promotional rates are called “Restricted” rates and are limited only to guests who are over a certain age (“Senior rates”) or who reside in certain states (“Resident rates”) or who belong to certain organizations (such as the Military, Veterans, Police, Fire).Restricted rates can only be offered in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the cruise line’s promotion.Any passenger who receives but does not legitimately qualify for a restricted rate will be subject to paying a step-up fare at the pier or may be denied boarding.
 
Category Guarantee
 
If you booked a “Category Guarantee”, it means that you will at least get the category you paid for (nothing lower), and there is a slight possibility that you may get an upgrade to a higher category (at no additional cost).It does not mean that you are guaranteed an upgrade. If there are vacant staterooms in the category you reserved and paid for, then this is the category you will be in at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If, however, there are no vacant staterooms in the category you paid for, then the cruise line may upgrade you to the next category where there is availability of staterooms.The cruise line can assign your stateroom anywhere between the time your reservation is made up until the day you board.There is no way of knowing in advance if you will be upgraded.By booking a “Category Guarantee”, you will not know in advance the deck or the location of your stateroom (forward, mid-ship or aft).You may not get the type of bedding you prefer.You may or may not be near stairs or an elevator.You may be on a deck below a noisy public area.If you booked an “ocean view stateroom guarantee”, you may get a stateroom with a porthole or obstructed view.If you booked a “balcony guarantee”, you may not get a stateroom overlooking the ocean, but instead get a stateroom overlooking an atrium, the boardwalk or central park. The cruise line will not take requests of any kind nor will they give us advance notification of the location of your stateroom.Your stateroom assignment will be completely dependent on availability at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If the type of bedding or location on the ship is very important to you or if you wish to be near family or traveling companions, then we would highly recommend that you book a specific stateroom assignment and not a “Category Guarantee”.Direct Line Cruises is not responsible nor will the cruise line allow us to change the stateroom assignment made by the cruise line for a “Category Guarantee” booking.
 
Pregnancy Restrictions
 
The cruise lines will not allow boarding by passengers who will have entered their 24^th week of pregnancy by the beginning of (or at any time during) the cruise or cruise tour.In addition, any cruise passenger who is pregnant must provide a physician’s “Fit to Travel” note to the cruise line prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) the pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that the guest is in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.Any passenger who is in violation of this pregnancy policy will be denied boarding and no refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line.For details, check the applicable cruise line’s website.
 
Traveling with Minors 
 
If a minor child’s last name is different from the parent(s) they are traveling with, the parent(s) are required to present the child’s appropriate and required legal travel documents. The name of the parent(s) and child must be linked through legal documentation.Minors and accompanying guests will be denied boarding if the required legal travel documentation has not been submitted and presented.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.Each cruise line’s age determination of a minor will vary.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy requirements regarding minors.
 
If you are traveling with a minor who is not your child, a notarized letter or pre-printed parent/guardian consent release form must be sent to the cruise line giving permission for the child to travel without the parent.This letter or consent form should also be available to present at the pier prior to departure.A consent form is also required for children of divorced or separated parents.Minors and accompanying guests will be denied boarding if the required letter or consent form has not been submitted and presented.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.Each cruise line’s age determination of a minor will vary.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy requirements regarding minors.
 
Infant Age Restrictions
 
Each cruise line has its own policy regarding the minimum age requirement for an infant to travel onboard their ships.Any cruise tours associated with the cruise are also subject to the minimum age requirement policy.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy regarding age requirement of infants.Denial of boarding for infants who do not satisfy the applicable cruise line’s minimum age requirements will also result in the denial of boarding for accompanying guests.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.
 
Agency Relationship
 

I understand that Direct Line Cruises, Inc. acts as a cruise consultant and booking agent and, in that capacity, serves only to provide assistance in making reservations through the applicable cruise line.As such, Direct Line Cruises is not responsible or liable for any unforeseen travel inconvenience, delay, loss or damage of property, financial loss, injury, accident or illness to me or to any of the individuals for whom I have made this reservation.Direct Line Cruises is not responsible for any policies, acts or omissions made by the applicable cruise line.Direct Line Cruises is not in any wayliable for losses due to itinerary deviations or sailing schedule changes made by the applicable cruise line.Any claims for restitution of losses or damages shall be sought from the cruise line, travel insurance company or any other responsible party, and not from Direct Line Cruises, Inc., whose sole function is to facilitate travel reservations requested by its clients.

Cruise lines often promote specific sailings by offering very attractive rates or offer amenities that add value to the booking (such as onboard credits, dining or beverage packages or pre-paid gratuities, etc.).These promotional rates are customarily available to consumers with no restrictions.However, most promotional rates are short-term and are offered within a limited time span.Some promotional rates are called “Restricted” rates and are limited only to guests who are over a certain age (“Senior rates”) or who reside in certain states (“Resident rates”) or who belong to certain organizations (such as the Military, Veterans, Police, Fire).Restricted rates can only be offered in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the cruise line’s promotion.Any passenger who receives but does not legitimately qualify for a restricted rate will be subject to paying a step-up fare at the pier or may be denied boarding.
 
Category Guarantee
 
If you booked a “Category Guarantee”, it means that you will at least get the category you paid for (nothing lower), and there is a slight possibility that you may get an upgrade to a higher category (at no additional cost).It does not mean that you are guaranteed an upgrade. If there are vacant staterooms in the category you reserved and paid for, then this is the category you will be in at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If, however, there are no vacant staterooms in the category you paid for, then the cruise line may upgrade you to the next category where there is availability of staterooms.The cruise line can assign your stateroom anywhere between the time your reservation is made up until the day you board.There is no way of knowing in advance if you will be upgraded.By booking a “Category Guarantee”, you will not know in advance the deck or the location of your stateroom (forward, mid-ship or aft).You may not get the type of bedding you prefer.You may or may not be near stairs or an elevator.You may be on a deck below a noisy public area.If you booked an “ocean view stateroom guarantee”, you may get a stateroom with a porthole or obstructed view.If you booked a “balcony guarantee”, you may not get a stateroom overlooking the ocean, but instead get a stateroom overlooking an atrium, the boardwalk or central park. Traveling with Minors 
 
If a minor child’s last name is different from the parent(s) they are traveling with, the parent(s) are required to present the child’s appropriate and required legal travel documents. NOTE: If Travel Insurance is bought as a separate third-party purchase, it will not be included on your Cruise Reservation Confirmation. 

Cruise Line Policies
 
I have read and understand the cruise line’s policies and procedures regarding the cancellation of a cruise and subsequent cancellation penalties imposed by the cruise line, the issuance of refunds and / or future cruise certificates or credits made by the cruise line, cruise line discounted non-refundable deposit rates, rate adjustments, itinerary modifications and changes, category guarantees, gratuities, air arrangements and transfers, age requirements and restrictions, health and physical condition restrictions (including pregnancy restrictions), security of valuables, packing medications, use of credit cards, rules and restrictions related to required travel documents, boarding and sailing times, baggage, custom inspections and all other important matters.Direct Line Cruises is a separate entity and takes no role whatsoever in the design or creation, modification or administration of cruise line policies and procedures.Cruise line policies and procedures are explained in the “Terms and Conditions” or “miscellaneous additional/other information” section of each cruise line’s website and Direct Line Cruises has instructed me to read it.
 
Proof of Citizenship and Required Identification Documents
 
I understand that proper government-issued proof of identity and citizenship is required for all cruise passengers.Because government regulated documentation requirements vary by the citizenship and residence of each passenger (as well as the specific ports that your cruise visits), it is the sole responsibility of the guest to determine what documentation is required and to acquire and provide that documentation as proof of identity.Appropriate valid travel documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries.Documentation requirements are complex and may be subject to change at any time.
   
A valid passport is highly recommended for U.S. citizens (and, for many cruises, it is required).A valid passport is one that does not expire for at least 6 months beyond the passenger’s return date of trip.For air travel, additional documents may be required (regardless of citizenship).The name on your cruise line reservation and boarding pass or airline boarding pass must match the name on your passport or other government-issued identification documents.
 
Non-U.S. citizens who are lawful permanent U.S. residents will need a valid original copy of their Alien Registration Card (“Green card”) to enter / re-enter the United States and will also need any other documentation the countries on the specific itinerary require due to alien status.
 
For certain countries and/or itineraries, Special and Specific visas may also be required.All non-U.S. citizens (regardless of residency) need to check with their local immigration office to determine what is the appropriate documentation required for this trip.
 
U.S. Citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port – unless the itinerary includes Cuba) do not need a passport and will be able to enter or depart the U.S. with proof of citizenship in the form of a government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) denoting photo, name and date of birth.Also required is an original government-issued birth certificate or an original U.S. Naturalization certificate or an original U.S. Certificate of Citizenship.Requirements for children under the age of 16 are not the same (refer to the applicable cruise line’s website).Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens who take a closed-loop cruise, Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the use of a passport for all travels - should guests need to fly back into the U.S. from another country because of medical, family, business or personal emergencies before the completion of the cruise or any other unforeseen reason.
 
The name on your reservation / boarding pass must be exactly as stated on your passport or other government-issued official proof of identity.If your name has changed since issuance of your document (e.g. marriage/divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate).
 
ANY PASSENGER WHO DOES NOT HAVE PROPER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE DENIED BOARDING BY THE CRUISE LINE AND WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND
 
Although Direct Line Cruises provides some information on their website (www.directlinecruises.com), we highly recommend that you obtain this extremely important and detailed information regarding required travel documentation on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure and at www.travel.state.gov. and that all non-U.S. citizens consult with their local immigration office.Direct Line Cruises recommends that U.S. and non-U.S. citizens give themselves ample time to secure or renew a passport or any other required travel documentation.
 
Registration and Boarding
 
Each cruise line’s boarding regulations and procedures will differ.Refer to the applicable cruise line’s website for instructions regarding general check-in time at pier and boarding /sailing time.Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that the cruise line’s guest registration be done online and completed within 45 days of your sailing date at the applicable cruise line website, at which time your boarding pass and luggage tags will be issued.Your boarding pass will inform you as to what your actual check-in / boarding time window is along with some very important travel details. Direct Line Cruises recommends that you hand carry your passport, boarding pass, valuables and medications in a carry-on bag.
 
Non-Refundable Deposit
 
In most instances a deposit made towards a cruise is refundable up until final payment is made.However, if you chose to book your cruise under a discounted “Non-Refundable” rate code, the initial deposit made for the cruise would be non-refundable if you needed to cancel your cruise.Some cruise lines will extend a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of the deposit.However, a cancellation fee will be imposed.
 
Cruise Line Penalty Fee for Cancellation or Modification
 
Cancellations or modifications to a booking after the cruise line’s final payment date (balance-due date) are subject to a cruise line cancellation penalty fee.The closer the cancellation is made to the cruise departure date, the higher the penalty fee.Cruise cancellation shortly before cruise departure will result in full forfeiture of cruise fare.Some cruise lines impose a cancellation/change penalty fee if the cruise is cancelled before the final payment.The applicable cancellation fee schedule is included at www.directlinecruises.com and on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure as well.Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to cruise cancellation penalty fees imposed by the cruise line.(See Travel Insurance below).
 
Post-departure Occurrences
 
Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to post-departure occurrences such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses due to illness, injury or accidents, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage. (See Travel Insurance below). 
 
Travel Insurance
 
Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance through Travel Insured International.Travel insurance can protect me against financial loss if I (or a family member / traveling companion) can not begin or complete the cruise due to sudden illness, injury, death or other covered reason that would otherwise result in my full or partial forfeiture of payments made to the cruise line.Travel insurance can also protect me against financial loss due to unforeseen post-departure occurrences (such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage). Travel Insurance also provides world wide assistance throughout the trip.Log into Direct Line Cruises website for answers and information about travel Insurance or go directly to the Travel Insured International website, which is www.travelinsured.com. The phone number for Travel Insured International is 1-866-684-0218.  Direct Line Cruises Travel Insured Agency I.D. number is #53578.  Travel Insured is a third party company that Direct Line Cruises recommends.  However, Direct Line Cruises is a travel agency and not an insurance company, and therefore does not get involved in the sale of the insurance or submission of claims nor does it have any involvement in determining the validity of a claim or in the administration of a claim.

A valid passport is highly recommended for U.S. citizens (and, for many cruises, it is required).A valid passport is one that does not expire for at least 6 months beyond the passenger’s return date of trip.For air travel, additional documents may be required (regardless of citizenship).The name on your cruise line reservation and boarding pass or airline boarding pass must match the name on your passport or other government-issued identification documents.
 
Non-U.S. citizens who are lawful permanent U.S. residents will need a valid original copy of their Alien Registration Card (“Green card”) to enter / re-enter the United States and will also need any other documentation the countries on the specific itinerary require due to alien status.
 
For certain countries and/or itineraries, Special and Specific visas may also be required.All non-U.S. citizens (regardless of residency) need to check with their local immigration office to determine what is the appropriate documentation required for this trip.
 
U.S. Citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port – unless the itinerary includes Cuba) do not need a passport and will be able to enter or depart the U.S. with proof of citizenship in the form of a government-issued photo I.D. (such as a driver’s license) denoting photo, name and date of birth.Also required is an original government-issued birth certificate or an original U.S. Naturalization certificate or an original U.S. Certificate of Citizenship.Requirements for children under the age of 16 are not the same (refer to the applicable cruise line’s website).Although a passport is not required for U.S. citizens who take a closed-loop cruise, Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the use of a passport for all travels - should guests need to fly back into the U.S. from another country because of medical, family, business or personal emergencies before the completion of the cruise or any other unforeseen reason.
 
The name on your reservation / boarding pass must be exactly as stated on your passport or other government-issued official proof of identity.If your name has changed since issuance of your document (e.g. marriage/divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document of the name change (e.g. marriage certificate).
 
ANY PASSENGER WHO DOES NOT HAVE PROPER DOCUMENTATION WILL BE DENIED BOARDING BY THE CRUISE LINE AND WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND
 
Although Direct Line Cruises provides some information on their website (www.directlinecruises.com), we highly recommend that you obtain this extremely important and detailed information regarding required travel documentation on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure and at www.travel.state.gov. and that all non-U.S. citizens consult with their local immigration office.Direct Line Cruises recommends that U.S. and non-U.S. citizens give themselves ample time to secure or renew a passport or any other required travel documentation.
 
Registration and Boarding
 
Each cruise line’s boarding regulations and procedures will differ.Refer to the applicable cruise line’s website for instructions regarding general check-in time at pier and boarding /sailing time.Although it is not mandatory, it is recommended that the cruise line’s guest registration be done online and completed within 45 days of your sailing date at the applicable cruise line website, at which time your boarding pass and luggage tags will be issued.Your boarding pass will inform you as to what your actual check-in / boarding time window is along with some very important travel details. Direct Line Cruises recommends that you hand carry your passport, boarding pass, valuables and medications in a carry-on bag.
 
Non-Refundable Deposit
 
In most instances a deposit made towards a cruise is refundable up until final payment is made.However, if you chose to book your cruise under a discounted “Non-Refundable” rate code, the initial deposit made for the cruise would be non-refundable if you needed to cancel your cruise.Some cruise lines will extend a Future Cruise Credit in the amount of the deposit.However, a cancellation fee will be imposed.
 
Cruise Line Penalty Fee for Cancellation or Modification
 
Cancellations or modifications to a booking after the cruise line’s final payment date (balance-due date) are subject to a cruise line cancellation penalty fee.The closer the cancellation is made to the cruise departure date, the higher the penalty fee.Cruise cancellation shortly before cruise departure will result in full forfeiture of cruise fare.Some cruise lines impose a cancellation/change penalty fee if the cruise is cancelled before the final payment.The applicable cancellation fee schedule is included at www.directlinecruises.com and on the applicable cruise line’s website / brochure as well.Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to cruise cancellation penalty fees imposed by the cruise line.(See Travel Insurance below).
 
Post-departure Occurrences
 
Direct Line Cruises is not liable for reimbursement of financial loss due to post-departure occurrences such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses due to illness, injury or accidents, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage. (See Travel Insurance below). 
 
Travel Insurance
 
Direct Line Cruises highly recommends the purchase of travel insurance through Travel Insured International.Travel insurance can protect me against financial loss if I (or a family member / traveling companion) can not begin or complete the cruise due to sudden illness, injury, death or other covered reason that would otherwise result in my full or partial forfeiture of payments made to the cruise line.Travel insurance can also protect me against financial loss due to unforeseen post-departure occurrences (such as, missed connection, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency medical expenses, emergency medical evacuation, lost or delayed baggage). Travel Insurance also provides world wide assistance throughout the trip.Log into Direct Line Cruises website for answers and information about travel Insurance or go directly to the Travel Insured International website, which is www.travelinsured.com. The phone number for Travel Insured International is 1-866-684-0218.  Direct Line Cruises Travel Insured Agency I.D. number is #53578.  Travel Insured is a third party company that Direct Line Cruises recommends.  However, Direct Line Cruises is a travel agency and not an insurance company, and therefore does not get involved in the sale of the insurance or submission of claims nor does it have any involvement in determining the validity of a claim or in the administration of a claim.
 
Rate Adjustments
 
Once a cabin is deposited, the rate is “locked in”, even when the cruise line subsequently increases its rates for that same cruise.If the cruise line reduces its rates for the same cruise or subsequently offers a “Non-Restricted” or “Restricted” (see below) promotional rate for the same cruise PRIOR to the date on which the guest is required to make his/her final payment (balance due date - generally 60 to 120 days prior to the cruise departure date – depending on cruise line and length of cruise), the cruise line may permit the travel agency to reduce the cruise fare to the prevailing rate or promotional rate, and Direct Line Cruises will initiate the rate reduction at the request of our client.However, adjusting a rate to a reduced fare is likely to result in relinquishing any and all existing promotional amenities attached to the guest’s original rate code, which can ultimately result in a decrease in the overall value of the booking.In the event that the cruise line reduces its rate after final payment (balance due date), the cruise line MAY offer a stateroom upgrade (subject to availability).Such upgrades are solely at the discretion of the applicable cruise line, and therefore, cannot be guaranteed by Direct Line Cruises.
 
Promotional Rates
 
Cruise lines often promote specific sailings by offering very attractive rates or offer amenities that add value to the booking (such as onboard credits, dining or beverage packages or pre-paid gratuities, etc.).These promotional rates are customarily available to consumers with no restrictions.However, most promotional rates are short-term and are offered within a limited time span.Some promotional rates are called “Restricted” rates and are limited only to guests who are over a certain age (“Senior rates”) or who reside in certain states (“Resident rates”) or who belong to certain organizations (such as the Military, Veterans, Police, Fire).Restricted rates can only be offered in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the cruise line’s promotion.Any passenger who receives but does not legitimately qualify for a restricted rate will be subject to paying a step-up fare at the pier or may be denied boarding.
 
Category Guarantee
 
If you booked a “Category Guarantee”, it means that you will at least get the category you paid for (nothing lower), and there is a slight possibility that you may get an upgrade to a higher category (at no additional cost).It does not mean that you are guaranteed an upgrade. If there are vacant staterooms in the category you reserved and paid for, then this is the category you will be in at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If, however, there are no vacant staterooms in the category you paid for, then the cruise line may upgrade you to the next category where there is availability of staterooms.The cruise line can assign your stateroom anywhere between the time your reservation is made up until the day you board.There is no way of knowing in advance if you will be upgraded.By booking a “Category Guarantee”, you will not know in advance the deck or the location of your stateroom (forward, mid-ship or aft).You may not get the type of bedding you prefer.You may or may not be near stairs or an elevator.You may be on a deck below a noisy public area.If you booked an “ocean view stateroom guarantee”, you may get a stateroom with a porthole or obstructed view.If you booked a “balcony guarantee”, you may not get a stateroom overlooking the ocean, but instead get a stateroom overlooking an atrium, the boardwalk or central park. The cruise line will not take requests of any kind nor will they give us advance notification of the location of your stateroom.Your stateroom assignment will be completely dependent on availability at the time the cruise line assigns your stateroom.If the type of bedding or location on the ship is very important to you or if you wish to be near family or traveling companions, then we would highly recommend that you book a specific stateroom assignment and not a “Category Guarantee”.Direct Line Cruises is not responsible nor will the cruise line allow us to change the stateroom assignment made by the cruise line for a “Category Guarantee” booking.
 
Pregnancy Restrictions
 
The cruise lines will not allow boarding by passengers who will have entered their 24^th week of pregnancy by the beginning of (or at any time during) the cruise or cruise tour.In addition, any cruise passenger who is pregnant must provide a physician’s “Fit to Travel” note to the cruise line prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) the pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that the guest is in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy.Any passenger who is in violation of this pregnancy policy will be denied boarding and no refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line.For details, check the applicable cruise line’s website.
 
Traveling with Minors 
 
If a minor child’s last name is different from the parent(s) they are traveling with, the parent(s) are required to present the child’s appropriate and required legal travel documents. The name of the parent(s) and child must be linked through legal documentation.Minors and accompanying guests will be denied boarding if the required legal travel documentation has not been submitted and presented.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.Each cruise line’s age determination of a minor will vary.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy requirements regarding minors.
 
If you are traveling with a minor who is not your child, a notarized letter or pre-printed parent/guardian consent release form must be sent to the cruise line giving permission for the child to travel without the parent.This letter or consent form should also be available to present at the pier prior to departure.A consent form is also required for children of divorced or separated parents.Minors and accompanying guests will be denied boarding if the required letter or consent form has not been submitted and presented.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.Each cruise line’s age determination of a minor will vary.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy requirements regarding minors.
 
Infant Age Restrictions
 
Each cruise line has its own policy regarding the minimum age requirement for an infant to travel onboard their ships.Any cruise tours associated with the cruise are also subject to the minimum age requirement policy.See applicable cruise line’s website for full policy regarding age requirement of infants.Denial of boarding for infants who do not satisfy the applicable cruise line’s minimum age requirements will also result in the denial of boarding for accompanying guests.No refund or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding.
